I have a secret, I must deny,
It’s full of lies, by ways of truth,
I won’t surrender, my life to render,
I close the door, afraid of more.
The crowd around me, take aim and fire,
I pull away, too scared to hirer,
A lawyer or two, my fate to hide,
Their eyes upon me, my gaze much higher.
They came at dawn, like snakes they swan,
I was in bed, their lights like thunder,
They broke my door, their shouts so raw,
They bind my hands, they are the law.
I’ll have my day, in courts of law,
But no secrets will pass, my lips are sealed,
Before their eyes, my freedom secured,
Their laws protect me, their governments made sure.
