90. Us Here.

Told you once, to wait for me,
Told the world, to meet us here,
Told the sun, you are the one,
Told my mum, you set me free.

Can’t complain, about the way,
You make me feel, alive each day,
You are the air, within my lungs,
You bring the peace, leaves me complete.

Love the walks, we shared today,
Along the water, we dare not faulter,
We held each other, our talk forever,
The glow of orange, our sun now setting.

Time marched on, for time won’t stop,
Grab the love, that comes your way,
Don’t mistake the work it take,
To make love work, you must invest.

Don’t pretend you know it all,
Don’t declare you are the best,
Do listen to her sweet reasons,
Be the treasure, she deserves in life.

89. Say Cheese.

He told me twice, to look this way,
He’s at his job and wants to take,
A piece of me, away this day,
But he’s been paid, I’m just the aide.

I hate the look and face I wear,
The ugly brow, above my eyes,
The freckled cheeks, I often keep,
Hidden in May, beaten like hay.

Why the wait? Why’s he staring?
Take the photo, stop delaying,
Hate the shaking, mind feels breaking,
Palms start sweating, hope is fading.

Parents smitten, happy faces,
Mum pacing, dad vexing,
Me prancing, tried posing,
Can’t hold it, photo taken.

88. My Sunday

I believe in time, life is fine,
It’s full of memories, drawn each day,
Bright as stars, up above,
Sinking ships, line the shores.

Deeps inside, joy alive,
Walking fast, looking past,
Changing lanes, hurting still,
Wishing on, prayer heals.

Seeking love, avoiding pain,
Wasn’t shown, the truth in men,
Broken homes, minimum wages,
Drowning in debts, visions unsettled.

Life is hard, all is vain,
Can’t sleep, chasing fate,
Greedy dreams, hunting feeling,
Lying still, this my Sunday.

86. All I See.

All I see, is beauty within you,
All I see, is love in your eyes,
The world around, is gentle and silent,
All because, your light never fades.

Hope is gone, but you are still waiting,
Never far, a whisper between us,
Sitting close, with comfort and joy,
Shining brightly, your radiant and glory.

I’m confused, much fear within me,
Simply cause, your here with me,
In my heart, a candle now flickers,
Lit for you, my glimmer of hope.

Tears of joy, fall slowly and justly,
Intertwined, our hands lock tightly,
Now we’re one, no danger can harm us,
Safe in you, my angel of beauty.

Don’t excuse, this moment so simple,
Don’t refuse, the years before us,
All I see, is you beside me,
Now I see, the you in me.

82. Future Neighbors.

There is a time, beyond our years,
Where all is well and life is swell,
No bitter pain or endless tears,
Just happy hearts and happy faces.

There is no law, for us to break,
We live by love and rule like doves,
No need for cash, there all is shared,
No difference in cast, just peace that last.

Here hope is all, the youth play ball,
They set the rules, the old in school,
No need for cops, no one will flop,
Have faith and settle, no need for petals.

Can such a place, ever come to pass,
Where life and love, make peace and more,
Here kids are heard, their world repaired,
We must try harder, to be good neighbors.

81. The Bay With Grace.

We took a trip, away from town,
Just two of us, alone and bound,
The freedom feels, so good we heal,
Away from eyes, away from norm.

She found new ways, to tease me still,
I found new ways, to make her laugh,
Our hands entwine, our bodies close,
Prepared for better, our bond forever.

We spend all day, around the bay,
The swim and fishing, my wish to kiss her,
My arms around her, her beauty impressive,
I have a crush, so deep it hurts.

Then Grace invited, myself tonight here,
The beach delightful, the sea so gentle,
Her head upon me, my heart into her,
This view before us, sweet Grace I love you.

78. At The Bar

I had a chance, to change her mood,
It wasn’t fair, that I should choose,
She’s way to cute, to bend the rules,
I’m lost inside, her eyes so clear.

We’re at a bar, my mood is smooth,
I’ve got no game, she’s way too cool,
I stand and stare, afraid to move,
She caught me stare, I dipped in fear.

Turned around and start to chat,
Friends confused, I laughed out loud,
Then the tap, behind my back,
Swung quick, to meet her gaze.

She’s standing here, inside my space,
She said “hello,” I must be lost,
I spoke in riddles, my mind is puzzled,
I’m way to deep, can’t seem to fit.

76. Sweet Tears

Not the sound, you wish to hear,
Seems so strange, that I was here,
She’s afraid, of me it seems,
Can’t explain, but she’s in pain.

Behind her hurt, she screams and cuts,
Inside the silence, a rave of violence,
Troubled by fear, ravaged by anger,
Shooting the words, bringing the storm.

Into her eyes, danger alerted,
Frozen by time, lovers in kind,
Whispers of love, tainted by hurt,
Deeper we go, into our souls.

Wasn’t this way, only she’ll say,
Sharing so much, marriage and touch,
Started a home, seeking a throne,
Hidden within, tempers so thin.

Jealous we ride, taken what’s our,
Wishing to hold, broken like snow,
Didn’t let go, simply too bold,
Gently they grow, tears now flow.

73. The Artist’s Kindness.

I found a space, to beat the race. An empty room, without much sound. It’s painted black, no notes or sacks. It draws a crowd, all keen to dive. Into my mind, to see what’s there. Above their heads, I cut a hole. Filled it up, with two lightbulbs. Dimmed the light to hide their face. They walked about, in search of why. What’s inside, this artist now? Their minds will search and wonder what. This room they stand and up they looked, without a thought or clue to what. The few looked happy, the silent seems deafening. No notes to guide them, just shoes to sound out. Don’t fear the dark out, some light still shines out. This stage is art, before they find out. Each observer looks puzzled, each face seems dazzled. Beneath the hole, they stopped to stare. Empty faces blinded, two lights to remind them. Shining through the darkness, bringing forth my kindness.

52. Only Grace

It’s been awhile, I ran the mile. To clear my head and still the pain. My heart is numb, must keep things calm. I must respect the boundaries she sets. It took a week, to kill my need. My need for Grace consumed my fate, she is my crush, can’t seem to rush. She called me Monday, to arrange an outing. Just us alone, with time to speak. My mind thought no, my heart say yes. She soon confirmed the place to meet. Why do I let, my heart to stir. My crush is valid, but she won’t rally. I’m just that friend, that holds her hand. We chat all day, without a trend. We talk with eyes and can’t pretend. We’re just so right, some say we match. So today we met in Grays, a beautiful retreat, she booked one room. I’ve been here before, the conference with all. She smiles and relaxes, instantly we cuddle. Our hands find each other and our hearts jelly like wax. We talked round the grounds, submerged in our world. She is so alive, her laughter revives my mind. Love shows itself, Grace so divine. Can’t stop and think, this all I want. Life worth the risk, her hand soft and warm. Just us alone, my heart leaps with joy.
