81. The Bay With Grace.

We took a trip, away from town,
Just two of us, alone and bound,
The freedom feels, so good we heal,
Away from eyes, away from norm.

She found new ways, to tease me still,
I found new ways, to make her laugh,
Our hands entwine, our bodies close,
Prepared for better, our bond forever.

We spend all day, around the bay,
The swim and fishing, my wish to kiss her,
My arms around her, her beauty impressive,
I have a crush, so deep it hurts.

Then Grace invited, myself tonight here,
The beach delightful, the sea so gentle,
Her head upon me, my heart into her,
This view before us, sweet Grace I love you.

80. Self Taught.

I learned to write, because am bored,
I fill the page with empty words,
With every stroke, I feel each note,
I won’t define, the self I hide.

You like to read, I wonder why,
Beside the pain, my thoughts are fine,
Stepped up my rhyme, it’s not my grime, Don’t blame my time, care for some lime?

Got taught to say, what’s in my space,
Didn’t hide away, just cause you stayed,
Being here is weird, I aren’t your pet,
Listen to those songs, written in my head.

Final touches to make, sitting here with cake,
So happy and proud, sharing poetry with you,
Still believe in fate, had enough of Tate,
Just expressing today, something special to say.

79. His Question?

He talked for hours, about his powers,
His got the time, to blind our eyes,
The lies he told, took us for fools,
He’s just so bad, how can he last.

We gathered here, in search of help,
To pay the bills, we’ve cut it all,
The food and joys, no time for fun,
We gave it up, to float on top.

They fed us lies, about the crisis,
They crafted it all and rejected our calls,
They gave us little, we cried in bitter,
Denied the basic, we striked for wages.

So at this meeting, they gathered to greet us,
They sat up front, afraid we’ll taunt,
They make small speech, to please their ego,
In jest we teased them, they fear we’ll beat them.

Then at the back, a hand was raised,
The room fell silent, the crowd now stilled,
The leaders watched, their faces pale,
And from his mouth, the question revealed.

78. At The Bar

I had a chance, to change her mood,
It wasn’t fair, that I should choose,
She’s way to cute, to bend the rules,
I’m lost inside, her eyes so clear.

We’re at a bar, my mood is smooth,
I’ve got no game, she’s way too cool,
I stand and stare, afraid to move,
She caught me stare, I dipped in fear.

Turned around and start to chat,
Friends confused, I laughed out loud,
Then the tap, behind my back,
Swung quick, to meet her gaze.

She’s standing here, inside my space,
She said “hello,” I must be lost,
I spoke in riddles, my mind is puzzled,
I’m way to deep, can’t seem to fit.

77. Upon Thy Page.

Upon this page, I choose to write,
The truth in full, I’ll choose my tool,
A simple pen, will bring down fences,
No time to lose, just pen and booze.

It’s all I have, to free the words,
Inside my head, no fool can look,
I must express, the text compressed,
My hands so frail, in search of grail.

I took my place, amongst the best,
To please the rest, I plead my case,
A welcome change, they sort to test,
Each word brought stress, the truth won’t rest.

The page now full, they look impressed,
My vest now wet, my chest confess,
They snatch my book and read with looks,
My vested words, gave them a book.

The few did cry, whilst others laughed,
The stares they gave, seems like my grave,
Stone cold faces, searching for places,
Upon thy page, their truth won’t age.

76. Sweet Tears

Not the sound, you wish to hear,
Seems so strange, that I was here,
She’s afraid, of me it seems,
Can’t explain, but she’s in pain.

Behind her hurt, she screams and cuts,
Inside the silence, a rave of violence,
Troubled by fear, ravaged by anger,
Shooting the words, bringing the storm.

Into her eyes, danger alerted,
Frozen by time, lovers in kind,
Whispers of love, tainted by hurt,
Deeper we go, into our souls.

Wasn’t this way, only she’ll say,
Sharing so much, marriage and touch,
Started a home, seeking a throne,
Hidden within, tempers so thin.

Jealous we ride, taken what’s our,
Wishing to hold, broken like snow,
Didn’t let go, simply too bold,
Gently they grow, tears now flow.

75. I Found Hope.

There is a road, inside of me. It is a path I dare not thread. It has no beginning, none I can see. I can’t deny, it fans my fears. There is a fire, up ahead. It’s burning hot, and tears the skies. Beyond the black, that clouds my sight. The years I’ve spent, without repent. I seek a way, to break this mate. The dusty road, seems long and old. The fading light, prepared for night. Just me alone, inside this zone. Nothing to hold, just me alone. It’s deep inside, beyond your ears. You know no what, lies in my heart. You see the smile, I wear like cloth. We laughed at times, but don’t pretend. You aren’t invested, to me you’re tested. The shallow convos, we shared didn’t end well. In better times, a friend remind. In search of want, my need to rant. Just own the truth, that we are fools. But know inside, this vanity won’t last. This road I’ll walk, till hope is thwart. I see myself, there on the road. My sweat is cold, my feet like coal. I close my eyes and hope I’m found.

74. Found Grace In Me.

I found myself, in you this day. The open air, brings peace and stares. The gentle breeze, releases my fears. Just time to think and time to be. It’s never easy, being myself. I bring no gift, no skills of love. Just humble silence, in search of brilliance. Engaged to see, that you are key. The Grace I know, stands tall and wins. She’s never dull, just shares and cares. The simple joy, that hugs can bring. Prepared to spread, true love this spring. She’s full of hope, her eyes so green. In me I give, what little I have. To hold her up, I try to cup. The vision of us, together true friends. She has in me, a home for real. It’s filled with love, this much she knows. Her name is Grace, it’s not a race. True love can take, awhile to make. Just hold on tight, don’t leave this place. Believe in you, pray well and stake. Your fate will find, that bond so kind. Her hands I’ll kiss, to bring her bliss.

73. The Artist’s Kindness.

I found a space, to beat the race. An empty room, without much sound. It’s painted black, no notes or sacks. It draws a crowd, all keen to dive. Into my mind, to see what’s there. Above their heads, I cut a hole. Filled it up, with two lightbulbs. Dimmed the light to hide their face. They walked about, in search of why. What’s inside, this artist now? Their minds will search and wonder what. This room they stand and up they looked, without a thought or clue to what. The few looked happy, the silent seems deafening. No notes to guide them, just shoes to sound out. Don’t fear the dark out, some light still shines out. This stage is art, before they find out. Each observer looks puzzled, each face seems dazzled. Beneath the hole, they stopped to stare. Empty faces blinded, two lights to remind them. Shining through the darkness, bringing forth my kindness.

72. Play

Didn’t call his name, don’t comb his hair. He’s just that boy, that wants it all. He’ll try is luck, to please the flock. With empty words, he’ll play the fool. Too cool to choose, what’s right and wrong. Don’t blame the kid, it’s not his fault. He wore no shame, it’s all so vein. Pretends to care, about your fare. So rare to see, this kind of mare. In haste he’s say, words meant to heal. No sight for right, just blame his game. He has no fame, just lame and tamed. Prepared for what, nothing in his sack. Brain filled with Tate, enraged with hate. Feels like a king, his throne will sing. Great praise and rings, no bells for sin. Blind joy he’ll bring, inside his fling. Heart burden with bling, too much to think. Don’t laugh at him, his gain seems pain.
