126. A Step Change.

Time to plan, time to write,
Take a step, make it right,
State each purpose, face all foes,
Take a break, free your mind.

What’s the aim, proud not vain,
Change this life, for the best,
Spread real love, to my friends,
Join their laughter, morn their sadness.

Be prepared, take that chance,
Don’t say No, face it bold,
Leave fear here, to get old,
Be that star, bright and strong.

Make a prayer, thank each blessing,
Show true reason, be that vision,
Lead the positive, change the norm,
See your worth, in life’s storm.

Proud you made it, proud you stayed,
You the hope, all could say,
Trust the change, from good to best,
Nothing too easy, have faith you’ll see.

123. My Sara

There is a child, I know very well,
She’s bright and beautiful, talented and free,
She wears her hair, loose and long,
She worked so hard, to be a mum.

She was just ten and full of life,
She learned to cook and love her family,
She gave herself and shared her love,
She was a blessing, to all that knew her.

She got straight A’s, without much effort,
She is so smart, too smart to tame her,
She asked much questions, unafraid to listen,
She got that job, the day she graduated.

She visited much, never far from her family,
She made us feel, her love unending,
She made time freeze, bring joy in mending,
To all we cherished, each moment she relished.

She neared her thirties, still single but hopeful,
It happened so quick, time unfroze and took her,
We didn’t get, a chance to save her,
It wasn’t fair, her future would be delightful.

With years gone, I’m now an old lady,
Nothing but the memories, each minute worth giving,
I come each years, sitting here in silence,
These streets so busy, the noise is deafening.

She has a name, up above,
I sense her always, near my soul,
She was my daughter, loved and free,
I called her Sara, she’s now my angel.

122. No Tomorrow.

He’d walked for miles and weathered the storms,
Each turn a surprise, each country a struggle,
No luggage, but his baggage,
Heart beaten, but still he’s living.

Just one day, at a time,
Packed one bag and walked away,
The past still hurts, his present must heal,
He won’t show pain, his inside is insane.

No childhood to celebrate, just bitterness that hurts,
He wished away, the sins that stayed,
No room to grow, his village so cold,
He feels so cursed, he dares not sleep.

But here’s the man, that wears no smiles,
Here’s the son, who has no father,
Here’s the leader, without no kingdom,
Here’s the immigrant, seeking tomorrow.

They stopped him there, wanting to disappear,
No paper to show, no identity but hope,
Just scars and a cause, won’t speak his name,
Eyes full of emotions, no place for promotion.

“Tell me you name?”, they demanded now,
He fears his home, no return to a throne,
He pushed past and ran, they gave chase on sand,
No shelter ahead, just bandits on hemp.

Into the city, bleeding and needing,
His angel decends, his body with bullets,
Into his pocket, they found this photo,
Another man fallen, no name and no tomorrow.

119. My Expiry.

Pick a day, chose the date,
Leave it all, all behind,
Do not play, cannot stay,
Time to go, let them know.

Did my best, walked the path,
Just the norm, can’t complain,
Raised my kids, loved my wife,
Stayed the course, now to rest.

Worked and toiled, years now old,
Youth inside, heart still nine,
Wrote a book, shared it all,
Lost my wife, few years back.

Kids now men, living their life,
Get a call, once or twice,
Hurts a lot, walking alone,
Pace now slow, heart still gold.

Seen a lot, good and bad,
Changing seasons, world in treason,
Prices high and people struggling,
Mental stress and broken spirits.

Take a seat, in this park,
Say a prayer, to expiry,
Take me now, miss my wife,
My times to leave, no wish to stay.

117. Another Date.

Another Date, another time,
Another chance, to get it right,
Play the fool, laugh a lot,
Stay the course, brave the rot.

Played it safe, wore a suit,
Choose a places, we both felt safe,
Candlelight adorn the room,
Gentle strings, makes us beam

This the hour, hope and flower,
Eating cake, whilst she vapes,
Lightly conversing, discovering my verses,
The locking of eyes, surrenders our surprise.

We question till late, our lives and hates,
Two people so different, two hearts so blessed,
A glimpse of love, so effortlessly we flirt,
Together we share, our hands now touch

It’s now or never, to reason with fear,
I’ve waited too long, this moment to own,
I leaned toward her, her lips greatly divine,
This date wonderfully kind, my Clare beautifully mine.

116. Send Me.

See them planning, see them trying,

Hear them screaming, feel their shouting,

All eyes watching, can’t fake wanting,

They try controlling, minds start doubting.

Tongues be asking, hearts debating,

Ears now aching, answers fading,

Hands now folded, rage is loaded,

Seats all creaking, faces blinking.

Now comes questions, causing frictions,

They seek answers, no one dancing,

Suddenly the vote, all hands remote,

Chose the one, send hope packing.

All mouths silence, no one chanced it,

Wishing and waiting, bravely they fronted,

Harboring the will, but keep so still,

Needing a victor, send me, I whispered.

114. They Stole Our Votes!

They queued since dawn, this line their time,
A vote to cast, true change to seek,
Each person a story, their presence life’s glory,
No honour in rushing, just patience in waiting.

The leaders we chose, forgot their ways,
We voted for better, they settled for money,
The rich grew richer, the humble grew poor,
No difference between them, just status defines us.

We hunger and starve, no food in sight,
The prices have rocketed, out bellies grow slim,
A shortage of food, the lies they sold,
A wastage of resources, no benefits or plans.

They invested in death, by arming the law,
No interest in protects, they slaughtered their own,
In horror we’re tormented, in sadness you watched,
Our voices now silenced, a dictator is born.

His family enriched, by the taxes they stole,
The rich nations rejoice, our resources they steal,
The dictator presents, the truth he resents,
Our people suffer, whilst your United Nation fluffs.

Truth be told, truth is old,
Years will pass, generations will die,
Change is slow, life is short,
Taken for granted, voted for nothing.

111. Days Like This.

Days like this, make me smile,

Days like this, brings me bliss,

Days like tppphis, seems so short,

Days like this, fills my heart.

Days like this, won’t last long,

Days like this, change my mind,

Days like this, spring is kind,

Days like this, brings me life.

Days like this, heals my wounds,

Days like this, makes me write,

Days like this, wipes my tears,

Days like this, fear is gone.

Days like this, might return,

Days like this, youth seems done,

Days like this, grow we must,

Days like this, wish you well.

102. Unkind

It’s so unkind, the way you speak,
You find just faults, in every person,
You don’t listen, when others reason,
It cost you nothing, to be this person.

You showed disgust, to what is just,
You blame the world and shamed the rest,
You can’t belong, to those that press,
For truth at best, you found them less.

You show no care, for those that try,
You won’t believe, in those that live,
To help the weak, you curse their keep,
You cut them down, your words wound deep.

You have no reason, to bare this treason,
You know the love, your youth a dove,
No sadness or angry, just softness and longing,
To be just kind and share your time.

99. Facing Grace

Much is seen, much I’ve been,
You’re the best, to me I’ve seen,
Love to feel, lust is real,
Knowing you, is so cool.

We both grew up, together as one,
You rest in me, my heart in you,
We are complete, without the fools,
That cheat and trick, your past still hurts.

I am the calm, that stills your soul,
You are the kid, that wins my all,
I love your eyes, so green and wise,
We are the tree, that stands so free.

You are the lotus, sweet Grace my own,
You try and distance, your past the reason,
I’m not the pain, that men have gained,
I am the fence, that guards your sense.

With you each day, brings joy to faith,
Each time we talk, rewrites our walk,
Can’t stop the love, I’ve kept for us,
Let us be first, just leave the rest.
